Intro by owners... 'Les Jonquilles is an attractive stone house set in a quiet, rural location yet only 15 minutes walk on way-marked footpaths from the medieval bastide town of Domme, one of the most beautiful villages of the Dordogne. There is no passing traffic or commerce here at Les Jonquilles so our position is wonderfully peaceful, with views stretching across fields towards Domme.
Our local village of Cenac is a short drive away or a 20 minute walk, and has excellent shops and amenities, including a weekly market. The Dordogne river is just a 10 minute walk from the village where you can rent canoes, swim in the river or just relax with a picnic. This is also a superb location to explore the historical sites of the Dordogne region including La Roques Gageac, Beynac, and Sarlat and the many nearby chateaux such as Castelnaud, Beynac, Marqueyssac, Milandes, Montfort, and Fenelon to name just a few. Our accommodation comprises two B&B rooms with double beds and a Gîte. The B&B rooms are all en-suite, light and airy and have French doors leading out onto an eating and relaxing area.'
