Lazy Late Summer Days !

Late August and September are great times to visit the Dordogne! Its usually beginning to cool down and as you drift into October, you have much cooler nights and pleasantly warm days! There is still lots to do and the main tourist hot-spots become a little quieter!

It is amazing how quickly you can get from the UK by air and before you know it, you've landed at the pleasantly compact Bergerac Airport, hired your car and ready to get to your Gite and make yourself at home!

La Petite Maison au Coin is a Gite that only opened for guests in 2018, set in rolling countryside and the perfect location to visit three main centres; Bergerac, Perigueux and the beautiful City of Bordeaux!

As the owners, Linda and Simon say on their website, 'Magic is Everywhere!' as they welcome you to their 2 bedroomed Gite, equipped with all mod-cons including free Wi-Fi (very important these days to instantly share your holiday with family and friends!). They will even provide you with home-cooked evening meals and breakfast if you so desire!

Al Fresco

Dine al fresco with that chilled bottle of fizz to quench your thirst and end your day with your favourite sundowner from the region as the Dordogne sun settles over the landscape! Ready for another great day tomorrow!

Up to six people (inc cot) can be accommodated in two large bedrooms with king sized beds and luxurious bedding. The Gite has a fully equipped modern kitchen, bathroom with towels and a comfortable spacious lounge with a cosy wood burner for those cooler autumn evenings!

Aubeterre sur Dronne

The local area abounds with places to visit and things to do!

Aubeterre sur Dronne is officially classified as a 'Beaux Village' (Beautiful Village), with a Saturday market, quality shops, eateries and only 7km from the Gite!

There are several other pretty villages nearby including St Aulaye and Bordeilles. The main Town in the area is Riberac with one of the largest weekly markets in the Perigord happening on a Friday!

If you are interested in Wine, then you really have arrived... with the Bordeaux Appellation south west of you and the Bergerac Appellation south east of you. All less than an hours drive away! Visit the historic village of St Emilion and its famous vineyards or Monbazillac further to the south and its amazing sweet wines... perfect with French Blue Cheese!

At the time of writing, there is plenty of availability in this fabulous Gite for late August, September and October 2018! To obtain the best rates, always Book Direct with the owners and you can do this by visiting their incredibly informative website!
